Job Description:

40 hrs/wk, M - F, 8am -4:30pm

Role and Responsibilities:

• Answer phones, greet patients, route calls to appropriate staff and schedule patient appointments.

• Obtains insurance information from patients and obtains insurance verification for services

• Coordinates patient ancillary testing with other hospital departments

• Enters patient charges and verifies charges, reconciling as directed

• Assembles new patient charts, maintains and files existing patient charts, audits charts for data completeness and signatures

• Appointment reminders

• Maintain office supplies and equipment

• Data entry

• Dual training as Patient Care Assistant to cross cover if needed.

Minimum Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Minimum Experience:

Medical Office Administration and/or medical records experience preferred.

Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.

Customer Service preferred.
