This position is responsible for providing a wide variety of duties including: assisting with transport of patients; independent transport of patients; assisting with positioning of patients, in addition to cleaning and set-up of OR rooms and PACU bays.

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities

Performs all duties competently maintaining a safe and clean environment. Provides thorough, timely, routine cleaning of Operating Room suites between cases and at the end of the day, e.g. tables, floors, surfaces, docks the Neptune fluid management system (at least by the end of the day, or when full) equipment, trash, etc.

Cleans and reports equipment that is out of order to the charge nurse

Assists nursing staff in performance safety/restraint measures according to policy

Always reports to charge nurse any observations, patient complaints, and other pertinent information regarding the condition of patients as needed.

Handles and disposes of linen and trash using principles of Infection Control according to hospital policy

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  1. High School diploma or GED preferred

  2. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both in writing and verbally in English.

  3. Ability to adapt to fast-paced environment

  4. Basic familiarity with computers
