Job Description:
Mammography Technologist 5K SIGN ON BONUS
Under general supervision of the Technical Coordinator (according to site) and the general direction of a Radiologist, performs diagnostic mammography on adult and geriatric patients as requested by a physician. As required, performs diagnostic general radiographic procedures in department on infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients on designated areas of the body as requested by a physician. May be required to rotate between mammography facilities.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology program. Must possess a valid Massachusetts Department of Public Health Radiation Control Program License, must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, and must be registered and licensed in Mammography. Upholds standards set down by the ARRT regarding diagnostic procedures and professional ethics. One to three years Radiologic Technology experience preferred. Must be specially trained in mammography positioning and technique.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT); renewed annually. American Registry of Radiologic Technology/Mammography (ARRT/M); renewed nnually. Massachusetts State License; renewed bi-annually. Massachusetts State License/Mammography; renewed bi-annually.
