The Radiology Department at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), a Harvard Medical School (HMS) affiliate, is seeking an experienced physician to join its dynamic team as the Director of Radiology at Beth Israel Deaconess-Needham. The position has become available due to retirement and continued growth in Community Radiology. The job will entail daily supervision of clinical operations of an affiliated local hospital. The successful candidate will join our department of more than 65 faculty who serve the Medical Center’s main campus and a network of community hospitals and outpatient locations. As a member of the Community Radiology Section, the candidate will focus his/her efforts at Beth Israel Deaconess-Needham, with occasional assignments at other community locations. The candidate will interpret a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies (US, CT, fluoroscopy), perform minor IR procedures (e.g. joint injections, CT and ultrasound biopsies, PICC lines and abscess drainages) and provide a consultative practice to the hospital medical staff. All faculty in our supportive team participate equally in a call pool for after hours and weekend coverage.
Applicants must be board-eligible or board-certified. Fellowship training in body imaging, musculoskeletal, or interventional radiology is preferred. HMFP offers competitive salary and benefits. The opportunity for part-time academic appointment at Harvard Medical School at the level of Instructor, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor will be commensurate with qualifications and teaching assignments.
