Description

We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team based in Natick, Massachusetts. As a vital part of our team, the Staff Accountant will be entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining our financial systems, assisting in the preparation of financial reports, and coordinating inter-company activities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate record keeping of fixed assets, the general ledger, AP, and AR

• Assist in preparing financial statements and related schedules

• Take part in the coordination and preparation of Medicaid and Medicare cost reports and supporting schedules

• Conduct monthly reconciliations of accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, expenses, revenues, and financial schedules

• Assist with audit reviews at year-end and fulfill audit requirements

• Monitor and coordinate various inter-company activities and balances

• Participate in the development and implementation of information-based technology as applicable

• Post or review journal entries to the ledger as required

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Knowledge of General Ledger maintenance

• Ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries

• Experience in assisting with Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with Fixed Assets accounting

• Ability to Prepare and Analyze Financial Statements

• Experience in Expense Reconciliation

• Ability to assist with annual audits

• Experience in Health Care Audits, especially in the areas of Medicare and Medicaid

• Familiarity with System Implementation processes

• Experience in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is mandatory

• Experience in Third Party Billing and familiarity with Long Term Care accounting a plus

• Excellent Interpersonal Skills for effective communication and collaborating
