Boston West Veterinary Emergency and Specialty is thrilled to announce the expansion of our services with the reopening of our Internal Medicine department in Natick, MA. We are on the lookout for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic team and contribute to the growth of this exciting department.

Compensation:

  • $22 - $40 per hour (pending skill leveling assessment & certification)

    Anticipated Schedule:

  • Tuesdays – Friday: 10-hour shifts - either 7a - 5p or 8a-6p

  • Consistent scheduling to allow for a work/life balance

  • NO WEEKENDS!

    Position: Veterinary Technician - Internal Medicine

    As a Veterinary Technician in our Internal Medicine service, you'll play a vital role in overseeing appointments, collaborating with Dr. Natalie Langer, and actively participating in patient assessment, diagnostics, and treatments. This is an excellent opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment, including digital radiology, CT, and ultrasound.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage appointments and clients in collaboration with Dr. Natalie Langer

  • Conduct patient assessment, diagnostics, and treatments

  • Obtain and process laboratory samples

  • Perform medical calculations and administration, digital radiology, and CT scans

  • Induce, monitor, and recover anesthetic or sedated procedures

  • Set up and assist in endoscopic procedures

    Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician in a hospital setting

  • CVT, LVT, or VTS certification is a bonus

  • Proficient in venipuncture

  • Knowledge of common diseases and client education

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Flexibility, dependability, responsibility, excellent attention to detail, and time management skills
