About Us:
Milford Regional Medical Center is a full-service, community and regional teaching hospital, with 145 beds, providing acute-care serving a region of 20-plus towns. Our Perioperative function supports 8 operating rooms and approximately 7,000 cases annually. Our clinicians are skilled in the most advanced procedures and technology, and provide personalized patient care in a warm and caring environment.
Statement of Purpose:
Implements and control the decontamination, cleaning and sterilization of patient care devices in accordance with the policies of the hospital and the directives of the medical and surgical staff. Functions as a resource for the OR and other Nursing Units in the hospital for sterilization and instrumentation issues.
Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent and prior Sterile Processing experience mandatory. Computer experience helpful. Certification/License: Certification by a Sterile Processing Association MANDATORY. Maintain re-certification with 12 education credits annually.
Experience: Previous lead or supervisory experience in Sterile Processing preferred.
MRMC Differentials:
Hospital differentials are: $3.50 hourly for evenings, $4.75 hourly for nights, and $2.75 hourly for weekends. All differentials are paid based per hospital policy.
