Milford Regional Medical Center RN - Operating Room - Periop 101 in Milford, Massachusetts
This is an AORN Periop 101 Core Curriculum program which includes 24 hours per week of didactic and 8-16 hours per week of clinical for a minimum of 6 months. The orientation schedule commitment is 32-40 hours per week for 6 months and then 24 hours for another 6 months, approximately 1 year orientation total. After orientation, there is a 2 year commitment.
Statement of Purpose:
The Registered Nurse maintains responsibility for the provision of professional nursing care demonstrated through the nursing process involving assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation and evaluation. The Registered Nurse must demonstrate a competent level of behavior in a professional role, including activities related to: promotion of quality of care, performance appraisal, education, collegiality, ethics, collaboration, research and resource utilization(Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice - ANA, 2010; Perianesthesia Nursing Standards and Practice Recommendations 2012-2014)
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Certification / License: Current RN license in Massachusetts. Current CPR skills. AORN membership preferred.
Experience: Must satisfy one of these: minimum of one year experience as an OR Nurse or recent Surgical Tech experience.
Hospital differentials are: $3.50 hourly for evenings, $4.75 hourly for nights, and $2.75 hourly for weekends. All differentials are paid based per hospital policy.
