The Performance Improvement Nurse Specialist helps ensure that#MRMC performs at the highest level of state and national clinical, quality and safety measures. Scope of work includes, but is not limited to, clinical performance improvement, OPPE/Peer Review, hospital-wide quality improvement projects, patient safety initiatives, and patient experience. Responsible for working with clinical leaders and medical staff to develop interventions and additional opportunities to improve performance in a measurable fashion. Facilitates multidisciplinary improvement teams to enhance or develop processes to improve outcomes. Engage stakeholders in developing and executing action plans, tools, educational initiatives, and sustainable systems-based processes.#Develops education for all hospital staff and disseminates in a meaningful manner. Works collaboratively with the physician led quality improvement teams, quality and patient safety staff, IT staff, and hospital wide quality improvement teams to support measurement development and reporting. Works especially closely with teams committed to improvement in publically reportable quality and safety measures and projects. Qualifications: Education:# BSN required; Master#s degree strongly preferred. ############################### Certification / License: Current Massachusetts Nursing License Experience:# Three to five#years of healthcare experience including formal training in healthcare quality Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of quality improvement Knowledge of healthcare quality metrics, datasets and methodologies Excellent interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to work as a team member Effective presentation skills# Able to communicate in a concise, calm manner Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, meeting deadlines/schedules Able to quickly adapt and learn in an ever-changing technical, contractual, and regulatory environment.
