This nurse manager is responsible for providing clinical leadership to nursing department staff on our Fifth Floor Unit. The Fifth Floor is a 25 bed Med Surg Telemetry Unit. This individual is the operations manager and assumes 24-hour accountability for care provided on this unit.
Statement of Purpose: The nurse manager maintains responsibility for the provision of professional nursing care demonstrated through the nursing process involving assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation and evaluation. The manager must demonstrate a competent level of behavior in a professional role-including activities related to promotion of quality of care, performance appraisal, education, collegiality, ethics, collaboration, research and resource utilization (Nur sing:Scope and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition, 2010)
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and BSN preferred
Certification / License: Current RN license in Massachusetts, BLS & ACLS required.
Experience: 3 years management experience, 5 years progressive clinical experience
