Milford Regional Medical Center Cancer Registrar in Milford, Massachusetts
Statement of Purpose:
Under the direction of the Director of Health Information Management, and in collaboration with the Medical Director of the Cancer Program and Chairman of the Cancer Committee, the Tumor Registrar is liaison to the Medical Staff and Administration and maintains efficient operation of the Tumor Registry which is a data collecting system organized to provide lifetime follow-up on all cancer patients diagnosed and/or treated at the Milford Regional Medical Center. The Tumor Registrar organizes, analyzes and technically abstracts medical records with the ability to retrieve the data in order to provide information for evaluation and to disseminate this data in accordance with professional ethics.
Education: High School Diploma and/or GED required. Associate Degree in Tumor Registry preferred. 2. Certification / License: Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) required. 3. Experience: One to Two years tumor registry experience required.
A hybrid work schedule is available (office/remote)
Hospital differentials are: $3.50 hourly for evenings, $4.75 hourly for nights, and $2.75 hourly for weekends. All differentials are paid based per hospital policy.
