About this role

Under the direction of the Mental Health Director, or higher licensed health professional, the PREA Mental Health Professional will be responsible for providing screening, diagnostic evaluations, and therapeutic interventions such as brief therapy using evidence-based practices to victimizers and victims of a sexual abuse and assault in accordance with all applicable licensure standards as well as state and federal rules and regulations.

  • Special focus on trauma-informed practice working with individuals with a variety of presenting problems and levels of symptom severity.

  • Provide support utilizing evidence-based approaches with emphasis on a diverse caseload to include individuals with relational, developmental and complex trauma.

What you will do

Qualifications :

Education

  • Master's degree in a behavioral/social science field from an accredited college or university

Experience

  • Coursework and professional experience that indicates knowledge of mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders, psychological assessment techniques, crisis intervention, and mental health consultation.

  • Experience in trauma-informed treatment required.

Licenses/Certification

  • LCSW, LMHC, LICSW or similar licensure in the state from the appropriate state licensing board

  • Current CPR Certification

  • Any other certifications (such as First Aid) required by contract

Compensation Range

$30 - $36 / hour
