Mercy Medical Center is looking for a Lead Building Services Aide to join our mission-driven team. We are a member of the Trinity Health Of New England family bringing compassionate care to our communities. This person is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary and safe health care environment by daily cleaning and supplying of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, bathrooms, offices, floors, departments and other assigned areas. As a lead this person will train all employees on department procedures. Assist employees with questions and ensure projects are completed and make recommendations to supervisor.

You Will Be Responsible For :
Exceptional Patient Care : Contributes to overall quality of care by performing required cleaning functions in assigned area
Excellent Communicator : Trains all employees on department procedures
Technical Familiarity : Executes proper cleaning procedures and demonstrates efficient, cost effective and safe use of housekeeping equipment. Visually inspects areas to ensure appropriate levels of cleanliness have been achieved
Active Teamwork : Performs other special assignments as requested.
Education : High School diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
Previous Housekeeping experience required
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks
