Mercy Medical Center a member of Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a Diet Aide to join our team food and nutrition team. Our vision is to provide state-of-the-art healthcare to those within our local communities, creating a positive impact for each individual that walks through our doors.
This position performs a variety of patient food service duties including working various positions on patient tray line, delivering supplies and nourishment items to floors, working in dish room and other related duties. Maintains all work areas and related storage areas in a safe, sanitary condition.

You Will Be Responsible For :
Exceptional Customer Service: Performs food service duties to enhance overall care to patients and customers. Delivers meals to patient floors
Excellent Communicator: Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with colleagues, patients and family member.
Technical Familiarity: Assumes a variety of tray assembly positions on patient tray line including caller, dairy, toast, hot food, soup, salad/dessert, and beverage position. Maintains all work areas in a safe, sanitary manner by performing a number of cleaning duties.
Active Teamwork : Performs other special assignments. Maintains productivity to assure that food service needs are met.
Education : High School diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
Ability to work in a fast-paced customer service operation
Experience in a food services operation preferred
Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks
