Job Details:

A registered nurse holds ultimate responsibility for the provision of nursing care to patients and their families in a variety of settings. These responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for a complex patient population. The nurse attends to the full range of human experiences and responses to health and illness, without restriction. The nurse utilizes a problem focused orientation; integrates objective data with knowledge gained from an understanding of the patient's or group's subjective experiences; applies scientific knowledge to the process of diagnosis and treatment; and provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing. The Registered Nurse adheres to the Board of Registration in Nursing rules and regulations, ANA scope and standards of nursing, the ANA code of ethics for nursing, Hallmark Health System policies and procedures and other regulatory stipulations. In collaboration with the nurse director, assists in the coordination of patient care services for area(s) of responsibility. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Baccalaureate degree in nursing strongly preferred. Candidates who do not have a bachelor's degree in nursing may be considered but must be enrolled in a Baccalaureate program within 1 year of hire. Registration and current RN licensure in the state of MA in good standing required. Professional certification highly encouraged. CPR certification required; ACLS certification preferred. Health-care and medical/surgical or telemetry experience strongly preferred. Good interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work with detailed, confidential material, computer experience required. This is a flexible position. You will be benefits eligible at 32 hours per week, however you will regularly be scheduled for 36 hours per week. Based on the needs of the nursing department, you may be flexed down to 32 hours per week.
