About the Job
Job Title: Hyperbaric Technician /Safety Specialist
As part of the Wound Healing Center team, this position is responsible for the following:
Performs hyperbaric treatments and associated tests as indicated by the patient care plan, following established protocols for hyperbaric treatment regimens.
Collaborates in development of patients’ plan of care as it pertains to hyperbaric chamber options and evaluates the effects of those plans.
Oversees hyperbaric chamber services and safety/regulatory issues associated with running a hyperbaric care program, including leading performance improvement for the program and outreaching in the community to encourage referrals
Facilitates the day-to-day maintenance of the hyperbaric chamber and related support systems
Provides feedback and solutions on improving quality, safety and patient satisfaction of hyperbaric therapies
Cross-trains to assist in direct patient care with wound clinic visits
Education: LPN, EMT, Paramedic or Candidate with at least at least six (6) months experience performing hyperbaric therapies.Preferred: CHT or DMT certification (Certified Hyperbaric Technician OR Diver Medic Technician)
Experience: Required: Knowledge of basic safety, infection control and quality performance standards. Hyperbaric Training will be provided if needed.
Preferred: At least 3 years clinical experience, preferably with hyperbaric therapies
Part time, 32 hours.
