Wellforce Appointment Navigator OB/GYN in Medford, Massachusetts
Position Summary: Responsible for “navigating” patients through our healthcare system by scheduling appointments with OB/GYN specialists at the point of contact to provide expedited and convenient service, responding to patient inquiries and ensuring patients and offices are well supported. Communicates regularly with Primary Care Provider (PCP) and OB/GYN Provider offices. Responsible for maintaining relationships with MWHC Emergency Room and affiliated departments to ensure patients in need of an OB/GYN Provider or follow up care are addressed. Responsible for the monitoring and follow up of patients calling into the Physician Finder Line in need of OB/GYN care. Assists patients and offices with non-clinical OB/GYN questions and issues coming through the patient portal. Assists with various projects/services within the department on an “as needed” basis. Assists in building and supervising the PAC OB/GYN “pod”.
High School graduate or equivalent education required.
One to three years health care experience either in the areas of patient registration or physician office.
Knowledge of hospital and medical terminology. Experience with physician and hospital information systems. Excellent Customer Service skills. Knowledge and skill with Microsoft office.
