Speech Language Pathologist

AnthroMed Education is a new and growing provider of Special Education and Related Service hiring needs to pre-K-12th grade schools in the Greater Boston area. Our team is currently looking to hire a Speech-Language Pathologist to support one of our diverse Charter School partners in Mattapan, MA for a parental leave beginning in January 2023. This role would begin at the start of the new year and be completed by the end of the school year in June.

Speech-Language Pathologist Details and Responsibilities:

  • Support a K-8th grade student population.

  • Manage a 30-40 student caseload.

  • Provide high-quality direct speech-language therapy services to students according to the student’s IEPs.

  • Complete the required documentation and data collection necessary for IEP reports, goals, and diagnostic evaluations.

  • Meet regularly with teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists to discuss individual students' modifications or adaptations, ongoing learning issues, interventions, or problems.

  • Work collaboratively to ensure students' needs are met.

  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with parents, staff, and students on progress.

  • Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records.

  • Attend staff meetings and serve on appropriate committees.

  • Conduct speech and language case study evaluations.

  • Serve as a resource to school staff members in the development of a balanced program for oral communication and speech improvement.

  • Develop an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) for each student placed in speech-language therapy.

  • Collaborate with other on-site SLPs on a day-to-day basis and discuss caseload challenges, determine the proper course of action on a student-by-student basis, and maintain accurate records regarding student contact.

  • Other duties are to follow.

    Speech-Language Pathologist Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a program accredited by ASHA.

  • Possession and maintenance of the state license to practice Speech-Language Pathology through the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

  • Completion of a clinical practicum consisting of 100 on-site hours in a school setting.

  • Strict adherence to the ASHA Code of Ethics.
