Speech Language Pathologist

Our team is currently looking to hire a Speech-Language Pathologist to support one of our diverse Charter School partners in Mattapan, MA for a parental leave beginning in January 2023. This role would begin at the start of the new year and be completed by the end of the school year in June.
Speech-Language Pathologist Details and Responsibilities:
Support a K-8th grade student population.
Manage a 30-40 student caseload.
Provide high-quality direct speech-language therapy services to students according to the student’s IEPs.
Complete the required documentation and data collection necessary for IEP reports, goals, and diagnostic evaluations.
Meet regularly with teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists to discuss individual students' modifications or adaptations, ongoing learning issues, interventions, or problems.
Work collaboratively to ensure students' needs are met.
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with parents, staff, and students on progress.
Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records.
Attend staff meetings and serve on appropriate committees.
Conduct speech and language case study evaluations.
Serve as a resource to school staff members in the development of a balanced program for oral communication and speech improvement.
Develop an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) for each student placed in speech-language therapy.
Collaborate with other on-site SLPs on a day-to-day basis and discuss caseload challenges, determine the proper course of action on a student-by-student basis, and maintain accurate records regarding student contact.

Speech-Language Pathologist Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a program accredited by ASHA.
Possession and maintenance of the state license to practice Speech-Language Pathology through the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
Completion of a clinical practicum consisting of 100 on-site hours in a school setting.
Strict adherence to the ASHA Code of Ethics.
