We have an exciting position in our laboratory located in Marlborough, MA for a skilled and experienced Scientist / Histotechnologist who will support our Manufacturing and R&D departments. Youwill interface with the Innovation Team during the development of a new product initiative (Digital Pathology). You will be a member of Residual Sample Procurement Team responsible for interfacing with external labs for the acquisition of various sample types.
Your key responsibilities are:
Laboratory Support
Support cell block processing and sectioning for educational purposes
Maintain laboratory equipment and Histology supply inventory.
Perform Preventative Maintenance on lab instruments.
Write laboratory procedures to support histology workflow.
Residuals Procurement
Assist with maintaining sample inventory (data entry / physical repository)
Back up for cytology Body Fluid processing (fresh samples)
Knowledge of Federal Regulations pertaining to HIPPA, sample acquisition and shipping (DOT) is a bonus.
This is a very important role at Hologic and to be considered for the role we expect the following:
Education: Bachelor of Science / Arts

Qualified applicant must be HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) certifiedto perform routine histology, ICC procedures, special stains and cytology preparations.
5 or more years of lab experience as an HT or HTL
Extensive knowledge in all aspects of histology including: tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining (routine, special and IHC) and other lab based related duties.
Experience working with cytology specimens (Non Gyn Fluids, FNAs and Core biopsies) is a plus.
Fully developed organizational skills and communication skills are a must.
Additional Information:
The annualized base salary range for this role is $79,600 to $124,500 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
