Aerotek Medical Assistant in Malden, Massachusetts

Medical Assistant

Department: Primary Care

Location: Malden, MA

Hours: Monday- Friday 8:30am- 5pm (full time)

Pay: $17-$23/hr

Duration: 3 month contract to hire

Qualifications: Medical Assistant Certification is required along with 1-2 years prior Medical Assistant experience. Work like candidate to also be able to help with clerical skills when needed. Must be able to draw blood on kids-geriatrics and give injections.

Job Description:

· Covers front desk duties as well as clinical duties as needed.

· Phlebotomy and injection experience needed on kids-geriatric patients.

· Rooms patients, takes vital signs and writes down the patient's chief complaint.

· Monitors, orders and maintains medical equipment and supplies ensuring they are clean, sterilized, stocked and within expiration dates.

· Schedules follow up appointments, prior authorizations if needed along with answering phones and insurance verification.
