Eliot Community Human Services Registered Clinical Nurse Specialist in Lynn, Massachusetts


Eliot's Clinical Division provides an multi-disciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, mental health counselors that administer a full range of clinical & support services, resulting in a comprehensive collaborative approach to treatment.

Eliot's clinics on the North Shore are looking for a Registered Clinical Nurse Specialist to assess, diagnose, counsel and provide medication management services in our outpatient mental health clinic. This role is ideal for those candidates at the start of their RNCS career, who would like to work more closely with our psychiatrists to gain experience. With this Eliot can offer an educational fellowship position with an evolving compensation package, enhanced supervision, and reduced caseloads.


  • Provide medication evaluation, prescription services, and monitoring and administration of psychopharmacologic agents and their side effects to clients and their families.

  • Provide psychopharmacology consultation services to program staff regarding issues of medication and differential assessment of physical versus mental health.

  • Collaborate with Emergency Services and may provide crisis intervention services to clients and their families as needed.

  • Provide collateral contacts for clients.

  • Develop and implement goal-oriented treatment plans in accordance with Utilization Review standards, sound clinical practice, and in collaboration with the client and clinician.

  • Provide clinical supervision for junior nursing staff or students as needed.

  • Provide mental health consultation and education to community agencies, as requested.

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with community agencies.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

(20 hours at Lynn Clinic and 20 hours at Danvers Clinic)




  • Supervisory skills: Intermediate

  • Clinical Skills: Intermediate

  • Experience with population: Advanced

  • Med Administration: Advanced

  • Communication Skills: Advanced

  • Administrative Tasks: Advanced



  • Masters of Science or better in Nursing

Licenses & Certifications


  • Clinical Psych Nurse Spec



  • Experience in acute psychiatric care.
