Eliot Community Human Services Psychiatric Medical Assistant in Lynn, Massachusetts

Eliot is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Medical Assistant, preferably with three years’ experience working with adults in a mental health setting. The ideal candidate will have an unwavering compassion towards clients and the ability to work well as part of a collaborative team. They will need strong “people” skills, demonstrate the ability to multi-task, keep an eye on details, and bring solid communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Interview clients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height and Review of Systems as indicated.

  • Act as liaison to medical providers for health issues, documentation and other related information.

  • Triage prescriber messages.

  • Provide education about medications to clients.

  • Collaborate proactively with team members to meet the needs of clients.

  • Schedule, review and enter lab results.

  • Complete brief medical and health assessments with clients.

  • Reconcile medications and vaccines with other medical personnel.

  • Help to schedule appointments for clients.

  • Provide education and wellness activities to clients.

  • Help maintain our Electronic Medical Record with up-to-date information.

Bilingual candidates are eligible for 6% bonus

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm (with some flexibility)

Hourly Rate:

Non Certified Psych Med Assistant: $15.87 p/hr

Certified Psych Med Assistant: $18.27 p/hr

LPN Psych Med Assistant: $26.44 p/hr

Skills

Required

  • Med Administration: Advanced

  • Computer Software Skills: Advanced

  • Ability to deal with fast pace setting: Advanced

Preferred

  • Communication Skills: Intermediate

  • Administrative Tasks: Intermediate

Education

Preferred

  • Associates or better in Nursing

Licenses & Certifications

Required

  • MA DRIVER'S LICENSE

Preferred

  • LPN

Experience
