The Lowell General Birthing Center specializes in a staff of L&D and maternity doctors and nurses who combine high risk obstetrics expertise with personalized attention. We offer a complete range of specialized maternity services; from pain management to a Level IIB Special Care Nursery for infants born prematurely or with special needs, staffed by the experts from Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center..
The Clinical Manager of Labor and Delivery is an amazing opportunity for a dynamic RN leader interested in joining a transformational nursing leadership team. This position requires a strategic thinker, strong communicator and problem solver, who will provide clinical oversight of this L&D unit.
Working closely with the Director of Maternal Child Health, will take responsibility for unit systems functions, RN staff performance, and patient care outcomes.
Will lead through change both planned and unplanned, build consensus when appropriate, motivate and encourage others. Responsible to maintain an inclusive workplace; maximizes contributions of all employees, and develop strengths in all team members.
Responsible for hiring, counseling and coaching staff, providing disciplinary actions, positively interacting with medical staff and support services during times of stress and constant change.
The ideal candidate will have:
Labor & Delivery Manager Experience
Certification in High Risk OB or Fetal Monitoring
BSN Required, MSN preferred or matriculated into Masters Program required
BLS and ACLS required
Excellent verbal and written skills for high level communication within the hospital and at interdisciplinary and administrative meetings
