Wellforce Evening Clinical Leader for Orthopedic Medical Surgical Unit, RN, Evenings in Lowell, Massachusetts
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Medical Surgical RN that is interested in taking the first step into a leadership role. As a Clinical Nurse Leader you will have an opportunity to work closely with the Clinical Manager in coordinating and supporting the clinical activities of our Orthopedic Medical Surgical Unit and to join our 3-time Magnet-recognized, community-based hospital. The Clinical Leader of this Orthopedic Medical Surgical Unit will assist the Clinical Manager with the coordination of clinical activities and patient care for the unit. Works closely with the Clinical Manager in supporting the shared vision for the unit. Develops and sustains an environment that promotes excellence in clinical practice and customer satisfaction, while striving for optimal efficiency, productivity and utilization of all RN staff to meet the needs of the diverse unit. The Clinical Nurse Leader utilizes the nursing process, leadership skills and current evidence based clinical knowledge to assess the needs of the departments, collaborate with health team members to coordinate patient care and set criteria for the quality of patient care. Assists the Clinical Manager in staff development, education and performance improvement. Provides patient and RN staff education, RN clinical supervision, and participates in unit based activities (quality assessment, shared governance, quality review, staff development in-services, simulation drills, etc.) Hours: 32 hours: evenings. Some flexibility in hours: can be a combination of 3-11pm and 11am-7pm. Or 4 shifts of 3-11pm.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with leadership and precepting experience, with 3-5 years of experience working on a medical surgical unit.
RN Massachusetts license required
BSN required, MSN preferred
BLS and ACLS required
