Community Healthlink Speech and Language Pathologist -Fee For Service in Leominster, Massachusetts

Come join a friendly and diverse team that provides quality care! Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for a Fee For Service (0-24 hrs/wk) Speech and Language Pathologist in Northern Worcester County, MA.

The Early Intervention (EI) team provides strength-based, family-centered services for young children under three years of age who have developmental delays or are at risk of a developmental delay.

Services are designed to meet the needs of each infant or toddler, and the needs of their family. The EI team provides services with the goal of enhancing the child’s communication, physical, cognitive, social-emotional and adaptive skills.

  • Provides direct intervention services to children 0 - 3 and their families.

  • Carries out service coordination functions when appropriate as defined by the Early Intervention standards.

  • Assists in transition planning prior to discharge from the program.

  • Referrals to outside agencies as needed.

  • Maintains client records and other administrative duties according to DPH and Lipton Early Intervention policies.

  • Attends staff and/or region meetings as required.

  • Attends in-service education and professional meetings as required.

  • Performs related duties as assigned.

  • Adhere and complete all CHL's protocols, policies, and procedures.

  • Early Intervention services provided both in-person and/or by Telehealth.

  • Maintains regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.

  • Maintains confidentiality

  • Ability to work independently and contribute to the overall success of the team.

  • Flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, verbal, written and communication skills.

  • Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.

This position is productivity bonus eligible

  • Current MA License in Speech-Language pathology and Audiology and a Certificate of Clinical Competence

  • Minimum 2 years experience working with young children and families

  • Current valid US-issued driver’s license and ability to provide a registered and insured automobile for work related purposes, including travel between in-person visits/sites.

  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • CPR, First Aid, DPH’s CEIS Certification or eligible for certification NPI or apply for NPI (National Provider Identifier number)

  • Competent in assessment and therapeutic techniques for children who exhibit disorders such as hearing impairment, apraxia, receptive/expressive language delay, processing disorders, and other.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of typical and atypical infant/toddler development in perceptual/fine motor, gross motor, cognition, language and communication, self-care and personal/social areas.

  • Demonstrates the ability to support positive child and family development.

  • Develops functional intervention techniques appropriate for infants and toddler with atypical development.

  • Able to work up to 24 hours/week.

  • Experience providing services to families and young children.

  • Must be able to pass a CORI background check
