Community Healthlink Per Diem Registered Nurse - Opioid Based Addiction Treatment & Behavioral Health in Leominster, Massachusetts

Come join a friendly and diverse clinical team that provides quality care! Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for a per diem (0-40 hrs/wk) Registered Nurse in Leominster.

The OBOT programs is one of the services offered at the Leominster Counseling Center. The Counseling Center provides strength-based individual and group therapy to adults, and couples age 18 and over. We offer integrated, whole person care with primary care and behavioral health. The Leominster Counseling Center also offers specialized substance use disorder treatment. The OBOT program offers buprenorphine and vivitrol treatment.

The OBOT Nurse meets with clients for the purpose of medication evaluation, assessment and treatment planning. They consult with other members of the client’s treatment team, primary care, behavioral health clinician, and outside providers.The program is open Monday-Fridays day shift and is closed weekends and holidays. There is also no on-call included with this role.

  • Oversight of buprenorphine/naloxone and naltrexone intake assessments; induction, stabilization, maintenance and relapse management.

  • Ensuring that state and federal guidelines are followed and collaborating as needed with Opioid Based Addiction Treatment social worker/counselors, psychiatrists, pharmacy, primary care and specialty care physicians.

  • Complete nursing assessments of clients screening and testing for but not limited to such diseases as Covid 19, diabetes, hypertension, tuberculosis etc…

  • Assist with obtaining medical history, prescription processing and refills, prior authorizations, insurance issues, concerns of diversion, use, safety, storage and behavioral health referrals.

  • Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.

  • RN with current MA nursing license (bachelors degree preferred)

  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with homeless and under-served adult population

  • Minimum of 1 year addiction experience preferred

  • Experience with Health and Wellness including nutrition, stress reduction, tobacco cessation physical activity

  • Current CPR

  • Excellent assessment skills

  • Proficiency in standards of professional nursing practice including assessment, intervention and evaluation

  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Record

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Excellent written and oral communication

  • Must have a current valid US-issued drivers license and a registered, inspected and insured automobile for work related purposes including transporting clients in a personal vehicle

  • Must be able to pass a CORI background check
