Community Healthlink Medical Assistant - Outpatient OBOT in Leominster, Massachusetts

Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for a full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Medical Assistant at our Leominster location.
The Leominster Adult Outpatient Center provides strength-based individual and group therapy to adults, and couples age 18 and over. We offer integrated, whole person care with primary care, a wellness program, and behavioral health. The Leominster Counseling Center also offers specialized substance use disorder treatment. Our Office Based Opioid Treatment offers buprenorphine and vivitrol treatment and we have a Second Offender Alcohol Education program.

Weekly clinical supervision to meet clinical licensing requirements
Essential Responsibilities:
Provide patient care by assisting with the implementation of care plans
Interview patients to obtain information and measure their vital signs, weight, height, etc.
Prepare treatment rooms keeping them clean and properly stocked
Prepare chart for visit
Complete releases of information (ROI) as needed
Reconcile medications
Automate and perform processes by phone, or send letters to patients either overdue for medical care or out of compliance with the goals of their care
Inform the care team if a patient is out of compliance consistently
Meet regularly with multi-disciplinary care team to help create plans for specific patients and populations not achieving optimal care
Work with other care teams on quality improvement measures and process designs
Assist with Prior Authorizations
Help organize and keep track of Clozaril clients and groups
Case management care coordination
Perform basic office laboratory procedures such as urinalysis, throat cultures and related procedures
Perform a variety of clerical duties such as typing, filing, scheduling appointments, making phone calls and other related job duties as required or directed
Maintains records, reports, logs, and other statistical information as required or directed
Specialty Responsibilities:
OBOT Medical Assistant: Complete required data entry for BSAS, track enrollment, follow up, level, and disenrollment status of patients, and conduct toxicology screens.
Medical Assistant I- Certification in Medical Assisting required
Medical Assistant II- Associate’s degree in Medical Assisting required
Proficient in data management and reporting
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Access and Excel
