Ethos Veterinary Health Veterinary Assistant Hospital Service Manager in Lawrence, Massachusetts

Compensation:
$60-70k based on knowledge & experience
Anticipated Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours weekly
Shifts: 12 PM–8 PM, Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday
Flexibility for occasional nights, weekends, and other shifts as needed
About the Role:
As the Assistant Hospital Service Manager, you’ll work closely with Clinical Supervisors and Hospital Service Managers to lead and support our clinical teams. Your focus will include ensuring high-quality care for patients, mentoring and training staff, and fostering a healthy, collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Onboarding & Training: Guide new hires through training and track their progress.
Staff Development: Support the growth of established assistants and technicians through reviews, mentoring, and feedback.
Scheduling & Staffing: Assist supervisors with scheduling to meet the hospital’s needs.
Recruitment: Screen applicants, conduct phone interviews, and schedule candidate interviews.
Program Management: Oversee programs such as Fear Free Certification and Purdue RVT initiatives.
Safety & Compliance: Assist with OSHA training and ensure medical policies are implemented.
Operational Support: Maintain equipment and labs and serve as a liaison with technical schools.
What We’re Looking For:
Preferred Experience: 2+ years in an Emergency or Specialty Veterinary Hospital; CVT is a plus.
Education: College or technical school education or equivalent work experience.
Skills: Strong leadership, analytical problem-solving, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with EzyVet and Smartflow is preferred but not required.
