Lawrence General Hospital Trauma Registrar in Lawrence, Massachusetts

The Trauma Registrar is responsible for data abstraction, data entry and data completion for the trauma patient population. The registrar must be proficient in ICD-10 and AIS/ISS coding in accordance with the regulations of the National Trauma Data Bank (NTDB). The registrar is responsible for data submission in accordance with Massachusetts State and NTDB/ American College of Surgeons / Trauma Quality Improvement Program (ACS TQIP) regulations. He/She is responsible for data distribution, and report generation upon request of the TPM and TMD. The Trauma Registrar evidences accuracy and confidentiality in the handling of all trauma registry related matters and is concerned with the improvement of trauma services within the facility as well as at the State, Regional and National level.

Requirements: High school diplopma or equivalent, completion of medical terminology course, or EMT certification. Minimum 6 months data entry experience preferred.
