Lawrence General Hospital Front Desk Coordinator in Lawrence, Massachusetts

The Front Desk Coordinator along with supervising the daily activities and work flow, processes and obtains all insurance authorizations and referrals to ensure reimbursement for all services rendered. Manage communication and inquiries from referral sources, clinicians, and patients, insurance representatives/case managers regarding insurance coverage, benefits, and authorizations. Communicating excellent bilingual skills for patients, professional and ancillary departments as needed. Individual will be responsible for answering phones, greeting patients, chart upkeep, appointment scheduling and reminder calls and issues concerning the flow of patients. The ideal candidate will be caring, compassionate and be able to put the patients at ease using their excellent communication skills.


  • Scheduling diagnostic radiology tests, specialty tests

  • Helping assistant with clinical paperwork for the providers

  • Recording patient interview, history and chief complaint

  • Checking insurance eligibility

  • Scheduling appointments, answering incoming calls, retrieving voicemails

  • Performs other duties as assigned that affect the upkeep of patient charts and the flow of patient care

  • Interact professionally and courteously with ancillary departments and staff
