Responsibilities:Andrew House, a program of Bay Cove Human Services is a 32 bed acute treatment facility providing medically monitored services to adults who need short-term detoxification from alcohol, heroin and other opiates seeks a Case Aide.

The lead Case Aide provides day to day care to our patients by managing milieu through daily living activities, leading patients in educational and recreational activities, or may accompany patients to and from examinations and treatments.

Bay Cove is looking for people who are inspired and inspiring. You will:

Supervise the general operations of the program according to written policies and procedures on assigned shift

Assist in the scheduling of case aides and drivers on all shifts

Provide job specific orientation to all newly hired case aides and driver/maintenance personnel

Substitute as direct care case aide or driver in scheduling emergencies

Serve as a member of the program orientation team for all new Andrew House employees

Serve as a member of the program management team and attend and participate in weekly management meetings and monthly staff meetings

Provide general maintenance, including carpentry, minor plumbing and electrical, cleaning and painting of the unit

Organize and assist with the moving of furniture and appliances

Organize and assist with snow removal from fire escapes and general access routes to the building not provided by the island maintenance department

Order and stock maintenance and cleaning supplies

Serve as liaison between Andrew House and the Bay Cove Properties Department

Perform other duties as designated by the Case Aide Manager

Qualifications:What you will need to bring:

High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge of general carpentry and some familiarity with plumbing and electrical work

Knowledge of basic cleaning, painting and general daily upkeep of the building

Valid Massachusetts drivers license and good driving record

At least two years of experience working in a substance abuse treatment program
