The Pavilion-Landmark Management Sytems Registered Nurse in Hyannis, Massachusetts

The Registered Nurse, RN, provides continuity of care for the residents of the center, working with the staff and resources available during shift. As the RN, your essential job responsibilities include demonstrating: The ability to assess the health care needs of the resident, make a nursing diagnosis, transition this, through collaboration with the nursing team, into an interdisciplinary plan of care utilizing all resources available. Is able to communicate this plan to all care providers in a way that ensures continuity of care for resident. The ability to establish and maintain functional communications with staff, other disciplines, residents, families, medical staff and community. A broad scope of knowledge commiserates with her/his experience to be able to address the needs of the medically complex as well as the mentally compromised residents. The knowledge to assess the effect of medications and treatments and monitor these effects to provide appropriate feedback to interdisciplinary team and medical managers to continuously provide the resident with the treatment appropriate to their individual needs. The ability to lead and direct the nursing staff in the safe, effective delivery of care by providing a structured The ability to provide education to residents regarding their healthcare issues, and care plan strategies. Knowledge and ability to apply knowledge regarding Infection control, fire and disaster policies as well as other facility and/or state and federal policies and practices that provides a safe environment for residents, community and staff. Knowledge of and is able to apply knowledge regarding the protection of resident rights, and the treatment of residents, staff and community with respect and dignity. Treating resident and facility property and information with honesty, confidentiality and respect. Remains up to date on all required educational components and seeks skill growth independently. Remains up to date with current CPR. QUALIFICATIONS A current unencumbered license to practice nursing in the state in which the center is located. Demonstrates the ability to read, write, and speak English, as well as add, subtract, multiply and divide. Proficiency in basic computer skills EDUCATION Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. EXPERIENCE At least 1 year working as a registered nurse Full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities are available.
