How You Care for Our Patients As a Nurse Practitioner: The PMHNP will be responsible for conducting psychiatric evaluations and orders on patients being admitted to the hospital. Working in a fast-paced environment admitting patients for our adult inpatient units. Comfortable working with dual diagnosis adults and placing orders for patients withdrawing from alcohol or opioids. Assist with emergency situations and the ability to make immediate referrals. Ability to work collaboratively as a team with other NPs, RNs, SW & other staff members. Must be a graduate of a Nurse Practitioner Program. RN licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner within the state of Massachusetts required. Prior experience in a Psychiatry setting is preferred but not required. Self-directed, demonstrate initiative and professionalism, and exercise expert clinical judgment to function independently. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Current CPR certification required. New Grads welcome to apply.
