Holyoke Assoc/Internal Medicine Holyoke, MA Administrative/ClericalFull Time, 40, day shift, Monday-Friday 8:30-5 and 9:30-6:00pm 1 day a week Req # 9324 Holyoke Medical Group (HMG) is a physician group practice affiliated with Valley Health Systems, Inc., the parent company of Holyoke Medical Center. HMG provides a broad range of physician services in offices conveniently located throughout Western Massachusetts. Services include adult primary care, family medicine, pediatrics, and walk-in care. Our physician practice, is seeking a Lead Office Assistant to coordinate and oversee activities of the front office and front office team members to ensure compassionate and professional care for patients and effective and efficient front office workflow. Duties to include but not limited to: Serve as a resource and make appropriate decisions relative to customer service issues that arise on a daily basis Monitor and prioritize daily practice operations and processes to ensure adherence to internal policies and payer requirements. Document and inform and the Practice Manager with any practice/personnel issues. Monitor the daily flow of patient check in and check out. Serve as a back-up for front office team member as needed by checking patients in and out and performing general administrative tasks due to staffing needs including vacations, illnesses, lunches, etc. Assist with staff meetings with front office team members. Attend periodic training sessions and meetings pertinent to position. Maintain excellent communication and effective working relationships with patients, providers, clinical and front office team members. Maintains mature and effective working relationships with all Holyoke Medical Group and Holyoke Medical Center departments. REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent; an understanding of office practices through similar administrative roles; bilingual in English/Spanish a plus; at least five years of physician office practice experience with increasing level of responsibilities; strong oral and written communication skills a must; problem solving skills required.
