We are looking for caregivers, which we call Clinical Associates . You may already be an experienced, certified CNA or we will train you if you have heart and passion to work with senior adults.
Our Senior Adult Unit (SAU) provides acute inpatient psychiatric/medical care for older adults. Our patient’s average length of stay with us is approximately 10 days. This is a voluntary, restraint free setting which is licensed by the Department of Public Health . It is not considered a mental health unit licensed by Department of Mental Health.
Examples of responsibilities of a Clinical Associate:
Vital Signs, Height and Weight, Oxygen Saturation
Reporting all unusual observations to the nurse
Collecting various specimens for analysis
Recording and measuring intake and output
Providing patient with personal care and assisting with daily activities
Performing basic clinical procedures independently or under the supervision of the RN
Provide nutritional needs including assisting and ordering room service, setting up meal trays and feeding.
Qualifications:
Desire to help people and/or have aspirations of becoming a healthcare professional
Experience bathing grooming and incontinence care (preferred)
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to read/write and perform basic 4 function math
Basic computer skills (preferred)
Medical terminology (preferred)
Basic Life Support certification (preferred)
*Every other weekend, every other holiday required
