We have an exciting leadership opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Manager at our Gloucester location. Under the general direction of the Director of Nursing, the Clinical Nurse Manager will provide direction and supervision of the nursing staff and medical assistants concerning the day-to-day operations. The Clinical Nurse Manager will be responsible for projects to improve operational efficiencies, ensure the nursing staff's clinical competencies, foster optimal patient care, and facilitate positive patient experience. The Clinical Nurse Manager may participate in coordinating care for individual patients and provide nursing support as needed. As a team member at our health center, you will work with racially, ethnically, and culturally diverse staff, so being culturally competent is required. A sense of humor and a can-do attitude are also very important.

Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
Provides direct supervision and effective leadership through proper development and training of clinical nurses and medical assistants at our Gloucester location
Provides direct supervision and manages the schedule for enterprise-wide triage nurses
Supervises and collaborates with the Gloucester Lead MA who helps with scheduling medical assistants and leads onboarding for new MAs
Coordinates all scheduling related to clinical nurses, including but not limited to vacation requests, coverage of absences, and daily nursing assignments to ensure adequate coverage at the clinical sites
Coordinates all scheduling related to clinical nurses, including but not limited to vacation requests, coverage of absences, and daily medical assistant assignments to ensure adequate coverage at the clinical sites
Responsible for projects to improve operational efficiencies of all nursing functions, including investigating and implementing “best practice” models for clinical operations as well as developing and enhancing written policies and protocols to guide daily operations
Develop and implement tools to regularly assess key competencies of the nursing and medical assistant staff. Coordinates and participates in training initiatives, including orientation, annual competency assessments, and continuing education programs. As well as implement training initiatives through coaching of staff and performance monitoring
Works with DON to plan, implement and evaluate quality improvement activities
Provides local oversight of infection control and reports safety events and risks promptly
Reviews medical assistants' and nurses’ documentation regularly to ensure proper provision of/documentation of care and provides supportive continuous feedback
Design, evaluate and monitor practice workflows, including guiding staff in meeting productivity goals
Oversees supply and inventory of vaccines, medications, and nursing supplies, including emergency medications/equipment
Provides clinical coverage at any of the clinical sites as needed
In collaboration with the Director of Nursing, hires and orients new nurses
In collaboration with the Lead MA and DON, hires and orients new MAs
Provides constructive feedback and fosters a learning culture to help all nurses and MAs feel valued and supported in working top of scope as professionals and achieving joy in work
To help the team stay aligned with the organization’s mission, values, and policies, addresses patterns of nurse or MA poor performance or problematic behavior through use of feedback, disciplinary action, and, if necessary, termination of employment
Manages personnel budget and collaborates with HR to ensure all open positions are posted and qualified candidates/applications are reviewed in a timely manner

Requirements
Requirements and Qualifications:
RN with current Massachusetts license, BSN -preferred
3 years of clinical and programmatic experience needed
Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in any customer service field required

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to establishing a safe and respectful environment for team members
Ability to work positively and humbly in a culturally diverse environment

High level of commitment to continuous improvement in the quest for comprehensive and quality healthcare
Strong skills in prioritizing and multi-tasking, as well as attention to detail
Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus
Competency in working with Microsoft Office Suite and EPIC strongly preferred
Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between sites as needed, though primary daily location will be Gloucester
Must be able to work occasional evening and Saturday morning sessions
Completion of all Compliance Training required
