Pay: 20/hr

Location : Framingham, MA

Shifts : Tuesday-Saturday, 9:30am-6pm

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently enter patient information and test orders into the laboratory information system.

• Handle patient blood samples with care.

• Verify that samples are labeled correctly with patient identifiers and confirm they are the correct sample type and within stability for the requested tests.

• Identify and flag discrepancies or issues that may impact testing and reporting.

• Pipette blood samples into aliquots of appropriate volume and sample type for respective tests.

• Operate automated aliquoting equipment.

• Archive samples for storage and organize sample batches for testing.

• Prepare batches of samples for send-out testing.

• Assist with additional departmental tasks as needed, including scanning test requisitions, troubleshooting problem orders, and organizing sample archives.

• Adhere to all quality and safety standards, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory agencies.

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with other lab associates to complete daily activities efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Lab Experience

• Ability to accurately follow protocols and compliance guidelines.

• Flexibility in adapting to process changes.

• Typing speed of 55 WPM preferred.
