We are currently hiring a Dental Assistant based in Framingham MA. The Dental Assistant will assist and collaborate with the Dentist in the delivery of dental care using aseptic techniques and following standards of infection control. As part of the team-based approach to care, the Dental Assistant I will participate in coordinating care for individual patients, will support patients and families in self-management, will engage in health center projects that are aimed at specific patient population needs, and will utilize effective and appropriate communication strategies, such as health literacy approaches when working with patients.

Salary Range: $20.00-24.00/Hour

Essential Functions:
Verifies patient identity for dental appointments.
Exposes and processes diagnostic-quality radiographs.
Prepares treatment rooms per infection control protocols.
Processes and maintains dental instruments and equipment.
Conducts and documents spore testing for autoclave function.
Maintains dental equipment logs and schedules.
Demonstrates four-handed dentistry competency.
Tracks and reports supply inventory to the Purchasing Coordinator.
Ensures patient information confidentiality and compliance with HIPPA and Joint Commission standards.
Manages documentation, consents, and medical histories, and scans them into dental records.
Records vital signs for initial and outlined procedures. Performs minor lab procedures like taking impressions and pouring stone models. Tracks lab cases and logs relevant information for compliance.
Education and Experience
MA State Dental Assistant License
CPR/BLS
Radiology certificate
OSHA/Infection control training
Has met all continuing education requirements for dental licensure.
