Transhealth Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Florence, Massachusetts
FLORENCE PLEASE SEE WEBSITE FOR FULL JOB DESCRIPTION Description The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) at Transhealth will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to clients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of mental health conditions. This role involves working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare providers to deliver patient-centered, culturally competent care to a diverse patient population. The PNP will play a critical role in enhancing mental health services within the community, focusing on delivering high-quality, compassionate care in alignment with Transhealth\'s mission and values. Qualifications: Education: Master\'s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program. Licensure and Certification: Current and unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner in Massachusetts. Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) required. DEA registration and state-controlled substance licensure. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, preferably in a community health or outpatient setting. Experience working with diverse and underserved populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals, people of color, and other historically marginalized groups. Skills: Strong clinical skills in psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and management of mental health disorders across the lifespan. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team environment. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation. Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on best practices in psychiatric care. Competencies: Cultural competence and sensitivity to the needs of diverse populations. Ability to manage complex patient cases with a compassionate and patient-centered approach. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound clinical decisions.
