The Arc of Opportunity ART THERAPIST in Fitchburg, Massachusetts

Full Vaccination (including Booster) is an eligibility requirement for all positions unless in case of religious or medical exemption.

Reports directly to the Clinical Director and serves in an informational/collaborative role to staff, senior leadership team. The Art Therapist is responsible for the development of vision and execution in accordance with the organization’s strategic plan, priority initiatives, mission and values.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop s and execute s short/long term goals which enhance and support organizational strategic plan and priority initiatives.

  • C ol laborates with COO, Clinical Director, senior leadership in the coordination and execution of agency & program goals.

  • Facilitates group therapy, communicating and integrating the various departments with the agency.

  • Assess es client development, abilities, personality, interests and conflicts.

  • Develop s treatment plan s based on creative arts with varied interventions, based on assessment, interests and objectives of therapy.

  • Prepare s and submit s client reactions and progress reports ; confer s with treatment team.

  • Enhance s and promote s The Arc of Opportunity’s strategic initiatives, overall brand and organizational mission and values through positi ve promotion and representation while actively engaging in professional networking.

  • Maintains required certification and recertification as required and in accordance with agency, state and federal guidelines.

  • Must work a flexible schedule.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications: A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record and CORI are required at all times during employment with The Arc of Opportunity.

  • Master’s degree and ATCB certification required. Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and ATR-BC preferred.

  • Cross-functional communication skills, which convey clear direction, des ired results and vision to staff, individuals/families served, government agencies, community partners, funding sources, and senior management.

  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.

  • Possess the dexterity and/or functional ability to operat e a computer and a variety of office equipment.

  • Ability to exert light to moderate physical effort which may involve lifting up to 25 pounds, pushing and/or pulling objects of similar weight.

  • A bility t o work flexible hours.

  • Fully Vaccinated including Booster, unless in case of Medical or Religious exemption.

Tues 8am-4pm, Weds 8am-1pm, Thursday 8am-4pm, Friday 8am-12pm

25 Hrs/Wk
