Steward Health Care System Radiology Supervisor in Fall River, Massachusetts
Oversees and supervises daily operation of Diagnostic Imaging and Breast Care Center office areas and file room including staff scheduling for those areas, as well as specified imaging modality to assist in patient diagnosis or treatment. Provides appropriate patient care (newborn, infant, child, adolescent, adult, geriatric). Contributes to the efficient operation of the department, ensuring quality and continuity of patient care. Assists in the clinical training of students assigned and is responsible for their oversight during clinical assignment, acting as a liason between the hospital and school. Coordinates the clinical assignments/experience of x-ray students. Develops DIS Secreterial Staff, Huc/NA, Radiology students, and technical staff assignments, including daily and on-call schedules both on campus and satellite locations.. Coordinates patient flow within specialty area and maintains appropriate levels of supplies. Works with the director to establish goals, priorities and performance standards as well as monitors quality, performance and customer service on an ongoing basis in order to achieve optimal effectiveness and efficiency consistent with department. Works in conjunction with the director and creates an effective team, which emphasizes quality management and efficient, cost effective operations.
I. Education: Graduate of Radiography Program. Associate in Science Degree required, Bachelors perfered II. Experience (Type & Length): Three to five years Leadership experience required III. Certification/Licensure: Certification by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in Radiography Licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Radiography BLS required
