Amergis Healthcare Staffing is partnered with a much respected facility in Fall River, MA who is currently seeking an Insurance Authorization Specialist/Patient Access Intake Specialist to assist them on a contractual basis.

Details of the position include:

Location: Fall River, MA

Position: Insurance Authorization Specialist/Patient Access Intake Specialist Rehab

Duration: 13 weeks-temp to perm probability after first contract

Schedule:

· 40 hours per week

· Monday-Friday

· 8:00am-4:30pm

· No weekends/holidays

Contract Requirements:

· Must have medical administrative assistance coordinating with insurance companies

· Reliable commute

· Covid vaccinated

Job Description:

· Initiate contact with patients, clinicians, and third-party payers to obtain pre-certification and authorization for evaluations and diagnostic test

· Verify coverage and initiate authorizations for new evaluations and treatments

· Obtain insurance referrals directly from the patient’s primary care physician

· Initiate all requests for authorizations with party payers for PT, OT, ST, and Audiology Services by utilizing the appropriate payer portal, fax, or phone call

· Identify when clinical criteria is required and utilize the ROI tools to submit appropriate clinical information out of the patients medical record to the insurance to support the need for the evaluation or diagnostic test ordered by the referring provider
