Admission Nurse - Opiate Triage Center Job Tracking ID: 512937- Job Description: Full Time, Hours are 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Every other weekend. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Responsible for timely and efficient referral of patient to recommended level of care. 2. Documents past medical history, substance use history, and current medications into Electronic Health Record. 3. Assesses patients serviced through OTC for medical complications and withdrawal from substances; initiates course of treatment per protocol and coordinates referrals as necessary. 4. Contributes to the implementation and improvement of OTC processes, objectives, and philosophy. 5. Assists in outreach to partnering facilities and agencies. 6. Other duties as required. Experience and Skills: 1. Desire to be part of innovative new program designed to respond to the opioid epidemic occuring locally. 2. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, preferably a college or university with a Baccalaureate degree in nursing or a graduate of an accredited LPN nursing program. 3. Massachusetts RN or LPN license 4. Effective problem-solver with commitment to process/quality improvement. 5. Thorough understanding of addiction and recovery. 6. Demonstrated commitment to clients and families. 7. Willingness to go the extra mile for the consumer. 8. Professional demeanor. 9. Maturity and good judgement. 10. Capable of functioning effectively independently and as part of a team. 11. Direct care positions in addiction programs require two years of continuous sobriety for individual in recovery.
