Eliot Community Human Services Psych MH Nurse Practitioner PMH for Innovative New Program (Bilingual Preferred) in Everett, Massachusetts
The Eliot Center, an outpatient mental health clinic, is seeking a skilled and collaborative nurse practitioner to provide medication management services to a wide range of clients for a new innovative and team based model of services, which includes prescribers, clinicians, case managers, peer specialists, recovery coaches, and triage specialists.
This position would emphasize team based care that focuses on providing the services that best meet clients' needs. This new model, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, provides an integrated and comprehensive network of services to clients across the lifespan, increases access to care, decreases barriers, and meets the clients where they are. The model is not a Fee for Service model paid my insurance companies, which allows for more time to be allocated to collaboration within the team, coordination of care, and being able to provide whichever service/support that client needs in that moment, whether it be medication management, specialized therapy using Evidence Based Practices, case management, etc.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, bilingual (Haitian Creole, Spanish, Portuguese), will enjoy working within a team, and will have experience in treating mental health and substance use issues.
Provide medication evaluation, prescription services, and monitoring and administration of psychopharmacologic agents and their side effects to clients.
Collaborate within the clients' team and clinic
Provide psychopharmacology consultation services to program staff regarding issues of medication and differential assessment of physical versus mental health
Develop and implement goal-oriented treatment plans in accordance with Utilization Review standards, sound clinical practice, and in collaboration with the client and clinician
Holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited university/college and is currently licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing to practice as a licensed Nurse Practitioner, is registered to practice as an Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Board of Nursing Specialties and Board Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMN, NP-BC) by the American Nurses Association. Maintains a valid registration(s) to issue written oral prescriptions or medication orders for controlled substances from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the United States Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration. Maintains current malpractice/liability insurance. Buprenorphine waivered is preferred. Experience in acute psychiatric care a benefit.
