Inpatient Resource Coordinator
East Sandwich/Cape Cod
Per diem scheduled hours: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 1-5p
Option to work remotely
Opportunities for additional hours on holidays and weekdays
Coordinate daily and weekly schedule for all inpatients during their length of stay. Schedule therapies, nursing, consults (psych, cardiac, etc), orthotics/prosthetics, recreational therapy, respiratory therapy, and other appointments such as hairdresser. Work closely with Clinical Supervisors, clinicians, nursing leadership, and all other relevant stakeholders to coordinate each discipline’s schedule. Additionally, the incumbent will communicate closely with admitting to coordinate new admissions with their respective disciplines.
Collaboration is provided to therapy and nursing supervisors/managers to implement a consistent patient scheduling plan that meets established goals.
Patient schedules for inpatient clinical staff (nursing, rehab aides, phlebotomists, unit secretaries, PT, OT, and speech therapy) are prepared in a timely and effective manner, meeting established timeframes.
Weekend patient therapy schedule is developed per established guidelines.
Per diem staff scheduling is coordinated, as indicated for all clinical disciplines.
Missed units are tracked and communicated to the appropriate clinical leader so that missed treatment time can be made up to meet productivity targets.
Resources to meet specialized patient care needs (i.e., 1:1 supervision, etc.) are coordinated per established guidelines.
Therapists’ weekly schedule is reconciled with actual time worked and variances reported per established guidelines.
Additional department, organization, or network activities are completed per established objectives.

Qualifications
Education/Degree
Required
- Associate’s Degree or relevant experience required.
Experience
Required
- Experience in a healthcare setting required.
Licensure
Required
Skills (Specific learned activity gained through training (e.g. computer skills, keyboarding, presentation, CPR, ACLS, etc.)
Required
Computer proficiency required.
Microsoft office applications, VSSPro or other scheduling applications preferred.
Ability to learn new software.
Preferred
Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with diverse population.
Work independently, be self-directed and contribute as a member of a team.
Anticipates challenges and develops and implements strategies for addressing them.
High level of service delivery. Demonstrate initiative with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and adapt to changing situations.
