This person is responsible for evaluating, directing, planning and treating patients (pediatric, adolescent, young adult, adult and geriatric) with a wide variety of disabilities. Identifies appropriate long and short term goals and develops treatment plans to respond to those goals. Demonstrates a high level of service delivery, including ensuring customer satisfaction. Excellent Communicator: Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with administrators, colleague, patients and their families. Ability to explain clinical, technical and diagnostic procedures to clients and their families, counseling patients and their families and enforcing policies and regulations in difficult situations. Strong Educator: Educating patients and their families on treatment plans and mentoring new staff members. Technical Familiarity: Understanding computer-based applications (EPIC, email, and standard applications such as Microsoft Office). Document client care appropriately in the medical record to comply with the policies and procedures of the department, JCAHO, CARF, hospital requirements and those of MASS. General Law 666. Active Teamwork: Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork. Requirements: Education: Graduate of an APTA accredited school.
