Senior Clinical Specialist
Riverside's Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) program provides clinical interventions and peer and family support to facilitate engagement, support functioning and maximize both symptom stabilization and self-management. ACCS also assists individuals in developing skills, establishing natural supports and resources to live successfully in the community.
The Senior Clinical Specialist provides assessment, direct service, and program consultation for risk management and engagement of people with challenging and/or complex presentations. the Senior Clinical Specialist will guide staff through training and modeling to assist them to learn and implement effective interventions for self-management and safe and appropriate crisis response.
The Senior Clinical Specialist will work across our four ACCS Teams housed in the Milford and Dedham areas.
The Senior Clinical Specialist will also:
Recommend treatment strategies and service plans for identified individuals, especially as these relate to risk mitigation and ability to address complex clinical issues
Provide direct service to individuals, groups, and families as needed to support an individual's ability to engage in their rehabilitation and recovery
Evaluate achievement of outcomes and communicate progress, including a mutual agreement of next steps in the planning process with each individual
Provide education and consultation for staff both in formal and informal interactions regarding risk mitigation and therapeutic approaches for individuals with complex psychiatric behaviors and issues

Valid driver's license and access to reliable personal vehicle, required
Demonstrated skills in clinical assessment and treatment of individuals with mental illness in conjunction with high risk behaviors, required.
Background in forensic psychology and/or working knowledge of risk assessment tools (including HCR-20) highly preferred.
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field with clinical independent licensure (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT) required.
At least 5 years of clinical experience working with individuals with serious mental illness in a community setting required
Proficiency in psychiatric rehabilitation and recovery-oriented services, cognitive and behavioral treatment, and an understanding of the overall mental health system required.
