Robert Half Medical Records Assistant in Dedham, Massachusetts

Description We are seeking a Medical Records Assistant to join our team in the healthcare industry, located in Dedham, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be responsible for handling various tasks related to medical records and data entry while ensuring accuracy and efficiency. The position will be based on-site and offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate processing and maintenance of medical records

• Efficiently handle data entry tasks related to patient information

• Schedule appointments and manage patient calendars

• Track patient records and other relevant information using appropriate systems

• Use electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other necessary tools for task completion

• Ensure all records and data are compliant with healthcare regulations and standards

• Respond to patient inquiries related to their records in a timely manner

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth operations

• Utilize software such as Tiger Connect for communication and task management. Requirements • Possession of a minimum of two years' experience in a healthcare setting, ideally in a similar role.

• Proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems is a must.

• Demonstrated skills in data entry with high attention to detail.

• Experience with handling and managing medical records.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with healthcare staff and patients.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to health information management standards.

• Strong organizational skills to manage and retrieve medical records in a timely manner.

• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Knowledge of medical terminologies, health information laws and regulations.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to participate in continuous detail oriented development and training as required.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree or certification in health information management or related field would be an asset.
