Walden Behavioral Care Adult Clinician and Trauma Specialist in Dedham, Massachusetts

Adult Clinician and Trauma Specialist Job Summary: The Adult Clinician and Trauma Specialist provides direct patient care under the supervision of the AVP of Clinical Services and Residential Program Director. Hours/Shift: Full Time (40 hours weekly) Primary responsibilities include: - Provide clinical care in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Walden Behavioral Care. - Conduct individual therapy, and case management in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Walden Behavioral Care and all licensing governing bodies. - Conduct psycho social assessments, participate in treatment planning, and discharge planning for an average of 4-5 patients. - Conduct family therapy and group treatment. - Conduct crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources as needed. - Work to ensure that all required documentation is completed in a timely and profession manner. - Work collaboratively with clinical staff that facilitate trauma informed groups and milieu work throughout the Walden Center for Recovery. - Provide trauma informed trainings to Walden?s milieu and clinical teams along with individual Trauma consultations to the treatment teams. - Work collaboratively with the treatment team and the Walden continuum to establish an on-going and evidence based trauma treatment to clients with eating disorders. - Work collaboratively with the treatment team and Walden continuum. Education: - Master?s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling preferred Experience: - Prefer a minimum of 2 years? experience providing direct clinical care in a mental health setting, ideally in an eating disorders program - Prefer a minimum of 2 years? experience of providing trauma counseling Licensure/Certification: - LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, PhD, PsyD, LMFT, preferred - License Eligible, required - CPR certification, required Knowledge: - Must have strong clinical, organizational and communication skills - Must possess knowledge of psychiatric group process, therapeutic relationships processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting and behavior management, and crisis management with highly emotional individuals Required competencies: - Strong organizational and communication skills. - Attention to detail and ability to prioritize independently. - Ability to multi-task in a changing and fast paced mental health environment. - Ability to work in a highly collaborate, team environment. - Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
