State of Massachusetts Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Danvers, Massachusetts

The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) would like to announce the availability of a Full-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant, for Hogan Regional Center in Danvers. The incumbent will receive direct clinical supervision from a licensed Speech and Language Pathologist. /_Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):_/ * Conducts required speech/language screenings of individuals to provide data to professional staff. * Assistant provides communication, speech and language therapy support services to individuals by implementing prescribed therapy programs and monitoring for effectiveness in achieving therapy objectives and goals. * The incumbent will assist other team members in carrying over general communication programs as well as individual plans. * Assistant will collect data and document accurately on individual performance as mandated by professional, facility and DDS standards. * Assistant attends and actively participates in support team meeting to serve as clinical discipline representation. * Assistant reports and processes information with clinical supervisor. * The incumbent will assist in gathering information via observation and trials for screenings and report to supervising therapist. * Assistant will participate in trainings related to clinical discipline to enhance knowledge and skills. _About the Agency:_ The Department of Developmental Services is dedicated to creating, in partnership with others, innovative and genuine opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism to participate fully and meaningfully in, and contribute to, their communities as valued members. _Total Compensation:_ As an employee of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are offered a great career opportunity influencing a wide-spectrum of services to the diverse populations we serve - but it's more than a paycheck.
